Bird Cottage
Delightful location
Bird cottage is in the heart of
Red Kite country in mid Wales.
It was originally built at the turn
of the 19th Century and was
renovated in 1988. When John
Daniels purchased the property
in 2009 he commissioned
further work to make it suitable
for guest photographers.
Its secluded location offers
peace and quiet from the
outside world and is a haven
for many rare birds and wildlife.
Probably the loudest noise you
will hear is the wind in the trees
and sheep in the fields but the
sights you will see will include
around 75 species of birds!

If you prefer a more independent stay during your course John can arrange excellent accommodation with
evening meal at one of the local approved establishments.
Whether it be a simple bed and breakfast, an inn or hotel, you can be assured that it has been personally
inspected by John to ensure it meets the standards you will require.
Your accommodation will be close enough to Bird Cottage in order that you may be in plenty of time to
start your photographic day.

Bird Cottage will comfortably cater for one photographer and their partner in their own room with en suite
facilities, comfortable bed and excellent views.
As a guest of John Daniels you are offered breakfast and lunch included in the cost of your 2 or 3 day
course package where all meals are shared with John unless your prefer otherwise.
You are free to use any of the facilities of the cottage including TV, lounge and to share the fire and other
comforts to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Take walks from the cottage and enjoy the wonderful scenery from the garden or pop into the local town
Llanidloes to explore further.
